About
What’s This About?
No lofty ambitions here.
Just thought it’d be cool to chronicle some of our amateur thoughts on theatre productions in Singapore, from both me and my friend Ilkosa.
We do enjoy catching a number of local arts productions throughout the year, so we thought: Why not just document all our thoughts neatly in a nice little blog?
On the one hand, it might give the theatre practitioners some form of feedback, and on the other hand, it might hopefully serve to encourage healthy and intelligent discourse on matters pertaining to local theatre.
Think of it as a man-on-the-street’s take on local theatre.
Enjoy!

Why “Buttons in the Bread”?
No particular reason actually.
This wisp of lyric comes from a Stephen Sondheim song which I’m currently rather fascinated with, called “Every Day a Little Death” (from the musical “A Little Night Music”), hence the name.
Attempts to attach an allegorical significance to the name have proved to be futile.
